Fuel lines are part of your scooter fuel system together with your gas tank and carburetor. The fuel system also includes the fuel pump, fuel line or hose, and inline fuel filter. And, believe it or not, your gas cap does more than keep fuel in the tank and water out of the tank. Most fuel caps are vented which allows air to enter the tank as the fuel level decreases. If this vent gets clogged a vacuum is created in the tank that will stop the flow of fuel.No Air, No fuel, scooter stops.
Other things that will stop gas from flowing properly include clogged fuel filters, collapsed fuel lines and fuel pump failure.
